An 11th Century stone sculpture used as a doorway fret. Images of female dieties In the relief sculpture, chief image is a female holding a petaled flower and surrounded by other gods. Narasimha (Sanskrit: Narasiᚃha, man-lion) is an avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu, one who incarnates in the form of part lion and part man to destroy evil and end religious persecution and calamity on Earth, thereby restoring Dharma.
