Description

An antique Chinese Lingbi stone (scholar’s rock or spirit stone) has a very distinct ring when it is struck. Scholar’s rocks are appreciated for their unusual shapes, asymmetry, color and texture. Scholars refer to them as “bones of the earth”. It is a carved blackish stone overhang with perforations. It set upon a contemporary Shuozhou style carved rosewood base with 4 rounded feet.
