Originally only worn by royalty and women of the royal court, commoners were granted permission to wear wonsam in the late 19th-early 20th century and then only for weddings and performances. This robe is beautifully constructed of fine, sheer silk (sa) suitable for summer weather. The front and back of the robe is made of a very pale green color with gold weaving over red lining which shows through for a lovely effect. The striped panels on the sleeves are various colors of silk ending with sheer white cuffs. Age: Early 20th century Dimensions: 44" high x 75" long
