19th Yi dynasty Korean Buddha painting with 16 deities. The Korean Buddhist painting represents the portrayal of buddha giving a sermon on the Lotus Sutra on Youngchuksan mountain. The buddha is centrally positioned and directed as a larger figure amongst the many budasatvasf and lesser gods.

Symmetrically positioned to his right and left, represented a stable world order.

The painting is rendered with color pigments on cotton material, backed with paper and silk borders. The central panel colophon indicates the temples attribution and possible date.
