Japanese Antique Small Kiri Choba Tansu
Small Japanese antique choba tansu (merchant's chest), made with sugi (cryptomeria) wood frame and kiri (paulownia) wood drawers, large drawer on at top with elaborate cut our iron lock plate, two drawers directly below with locking bar, small safe box in lower right also has heavy iron hardware, inside safe are two small drawers, hirute shaped iron drawer pulls, light natural finish, late Edo Period (early 1800's).
Size; 24 1/2" high x 23 1/2" wide x 13 1/2" deep.
