Wonderful Japanese large ranma (transom carving), carved of hinoki (Japanese cypress) wood with a design of a pair of beautiful apsaras (musical angels), floating in elaborate swirling clouds, each figure has a crown with a bird on it and holds a musical instrument, Meiji Period.
