Chinese Neolithic Hongshan Culture small jade carving of a pig dragon (zhulong) used as a burial object. The dragon is curled in an “embryonic” position. The bottom portion is carved in the form of an insect with large protruding eyes. The dragon portion of the jade is mottled green while the bottom portion is orange in color being closer to the outer rind of the jade stone.
