The maker of this fierce face mask has emphasized its appearance by exaggerating the angularity of the cheeks and jaw line. A yodome extends from the upper edge to the line of the jaw. The exterior is coated with a dark brown lacquer, while the interior is lacquered in red. Beneath the very prominent chin is both a turn strap holder post and a central vent hole for perspiration to escape out. The ears are pierced plum blossom design. The mask is painted with silver line drawing of a mustache. Attached is a yodare kare of four - lames of false scale laced in green silk and is mounted on a black iron stand.
