Beautiful, very long Chinese strand necklace primarily made from rock crystal quartz beads, with three large jasper beads, two green jadeite beads on either side of each jasper bead. Antique Japanese fireman's helmet, or kaji kabuki. Made from iron and copper plated, with red lacquer front bill incised with smoke clouds. Beautiful lotus shaped finial details the top of the helmet. Round kanji emblems on its sides. Iron display stand is also included. Original finish and condition. Japanese Woodblock Print by Tangyu Asada
Japanese woodblock print of a tall pagoda standing in a moonlit scene, with several ladies walking the streets under parasols, and small shops lit by lanterns along the side. Signed "Tangyu Asada" (1899-1984) with chop and calligraphy. Tangyu's birth name was Benji Asada, born in Kyoto, he was active in Sosaku Hanga artist circles in the area.
