Antique Japanese Bronze of Child with Goose
Taisho period (1912 to 1925) Japanese Bronze, beautifully cast of a child teasing a goose with a wafer. Cartouche signature Tadamitsu-saku. A later dedication on the base from Tokyo Gaikokugo Gakko Korinkai dated June 1940. Measures 19" high.

Japanese Antique Kamidana with Ebisu and Daikoku
Japanese antique kamidana ("god shelf" or "spirit house") with the two Lucky Gods, Ebisu and Daikoku. Made of sugi (cryptomeria) wood and meant to be hung on the wall. The figures are probably made of hinoki (Japanese cypress) and have a nice black pantina, Ebisu has traces of gold gilt and holds a large fish under one arm. Daikoku stands on two bales of rice with a hammer in one and and a sack on his back. Figures are Meiji Period and shrine is Taisho Period.

Japanese Antique Firemen's Coat Sashiko Stitched Hanten
Sashiko stitched fabric. Tsutsugaki dyed cloth. Indigo background with red and white design. Two horizontal bands wrap around bottom of coat. Similar to reference work "Sumi Collection Hanten and Happi" coats on page 25. Used by firemen in late 19th century Japan to extinguish blazes. Hook and eye closure. Measures 49" sleeve to sleeve 49" long. Overall good condition, small wear on neck and side.
